It is exceedingly difficult to buy boaty equipment at affordable prices in the Mediterranean. Unless your requirement is an emergency, it is usually worth shipping from the UK.
So, we have personally shipped out an inflatable and an outboard, and saved money on the outboard even when a friend flew out to deliver it. Carriers will deliver to mainland destinations for £50 or so, and, if you are patient and persistent, you will likely find someone who plans to drive a van to or from the UK.
